The 2026 Proposed Millage Rates Are In!

Martin County’s ten (10) Taxing Authorities (who levy property taxes against your property) have submitted their 2026 proposed millage tax rates. Soon they will hold PUBLIC HEARINGS to adopt their budgets and their proposed tax rates. The purpose of the PUBLIC HEARINGS is to answer any questions from the public PRIOR TO TAKING FINAL ACTION. Once the proposed rates are adopted, they will be used to calculate your final property taxes that will be reflected on your November tax bill

Florida Property Tax Amendment (CS/HJR 1F): What Martin County Property Owners Need to Know.

A proposed constitutional amendment related to Florida property taxes will appear on the November 2026 General Election ballot. If approved by at least 60% of Florida voters, the changes would take effect January 1, 2027.

Martin County's Taxable Value Now at $41.6 Billion

Stuart, FL - The Martin County Property Appraiser’s Office released the 2026 estimated preliminary taxable values to the ten Martin County Taxing Authorities today. The Taxing Authorities will use the estimated taxable values to prepare their upcoming budgets and determine their proposed millage rates.
